Frequently Asked Questions
Our most frequent questions, if you still have something you would like to talk about please contact us.
How can I get involved?
What will my donation support?
We rely on cash donations and cash raised via fundraising to pay for our Adopt-A-Grad recipients along with covering our modest operational costs, for example storage and transportation. Cash donations also enable us to purchase clothing items that are rarely donated. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference in the lives of our students. You can arrange to donate via e-transfer, cash, or cheque by using our contact page.
In-Kind Donations:
Donations of graduation-appropriate formal wear (suits, dresses, gowns, dress shirts, etc), dress shoes and accessories are always needed. We are also in need of items such as hangers, rolling racks for clothes, mirrors, etc. You can arrange an in-kind donation by using our contact page.
Do I have to send in forms to qualify?
I'm not located in Airdrie, can you still help?
Please be sure to reach out via our contact page for more info or to discuss your unique situation.
How can I donate clothing?
We accept items year round and we’ve developed a partnership with Stephen Cleaners. They are able to accept donations of suits & dresses along with other needed items and accessories such as shoes, jewelry, ties, belts & dress shirts at their store in Coopers Town Promenade in Airdrie – just let them know your items are for Adopt-A-Grad Foundation.
If you’re in the Calgary area the Stephen Cleaners locations in Calgary can also accept donations – once again just explain your items are for Adopt-A-Grad via the Airdrie Stephen Cleaners storefront. They will accept the items and connect with us when they are ready for pick up.
